MONTHLY MEETINGS Schedule

Note:

THIS MONTHS MEETING IS MONDAY 20th MAY and not FRIDAY 17th MAY as Room could not be booked.

On Monday, April 15th at 6:30 pm
, our presenter will be Wendy Outland, art consultant. The workshop topic is Creating or Strengthening Your Professional Portfolio. You will want to bring your artist statement, bio/resume and your price list, as she will offer quick critiques to†help you strengthen your portfolio. Wendy also plans to present Galleries 101. She will make recommendations for how to target and assess galleries. This is your opportunity to take advantage of a professional art consultant to further your career at a minimal cost. Check out her events page on www.whoknowsart.biz. Wendy has over 30 years of experience (see her Bio on the website as well). There is a list of client reviews for you to read on her website. People from our area that you may know have reviewed her workshops they took through TRAC, so you may want to check with some of the members who attended to see what they thought. Obviously I think this is a really good idea. Many of you have expressed your concerns to me about your pricing, galleries, and other venues to show your work. My hope is that Wendy will be an excellent resource for you as my fellow painters to effectively take your career to the next level. I†am very sorry that I will not be there but look forward to your feedback and hopefully you will†look forward to†her† coming back for June's meeting where she intends to cover a new set of topics you requested, including Sales Techniques and The Ethical Quagmire. Any questions please contact me here
at
maghorne@gmail.com

The updated Calendar should be finalised within the next few weeks.
